14 Day Soul journey to the Andes of Peru (JUNE 30) - Flight from home to Lima. Depending on your arrival time in Lima Peru, you may wish to take a cab to a hotel or hostel in Miraflores or simply stay at the airport and wait for your 6am connecting flight to Cusco. As part of the program, we will arrange all necessary accommodations in Peru. If you arrive around midnight, we suggest that you stay at the airport as this will leave you very little time to get to the hotel for rest before you have to make the trip back to the airport. Day 1 (JULY 1) – LIMA – CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY Depart for our morning flight to Cusco. Reception and transportation to the Sacred Valley. On the way to our beautiful hotel we will stop at Chinchero and visit the amazing Earth Altar. There we will discover the magical Hatun Chinkana, which in the Master Path is an initiation place. This Waka or energy center, is in and of itself a brain and can assist us in traveling to the dimension of our soul. We will spend the night in the Sacred Valley. Day 2 (JULY 2) – SACRED VALLEY Morning visit Moray, an ancient Inca site with circular terraces that used to create exceptional conditions or micro climates that fostered domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of a wide array of wild vegetable species that were modified or adapted for human consumption. Here our master guide will instruct us in walking exercises and a meditation in the center circle of this amazing power spot. After we continue to the salt mines of Maras, amazing ponds terraced down the Andean mountainside. Still in use today, these ponds are filled from a single salty spring. In the afternoon we will explore the absolutely unique and ancient city of Ollantaytambo, where the buildings still retain the original architecture of the Incas. We will have an opportunity to enter into one of the homes and see how the people have and continue to live for hundreds of years. As we explore the vast temple complex adjacent to the village, we will engage in ceremony. Our climb to the top takes us to the Sun Temple, whose huge granite blocks were mysteriously placed overlooking the village and the Urubamba River. Back at our hotel in the evening, we will have a special meditation ceremony where we will be introduced to the Sacred Fire. Overnight in the Sacred Valley. (LUNCH) Day 3 (JULY 3) – OLLANTAYTAMBO - MACHU PIJCHU This morning we will take the train ride to Aguas Calientes, where we will check into our hotel before visiting the famed city of Machu Picchu, NAMED BY MALLKU as the Crystal City, the Rainbow City, the City of the Condor and the Hummingbird, the City of Peace, and the City of Light. The legendary beauty of this magnificent city defies description. There are many trails and power sites to explore here, and we will have ample opportunity for ceremony to open to a deeper experience of the intrinsic magic if this amazing city and temples. In the evening you will have the opportunity to bathe in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes. Day 4 (JULY 4) – MACHU PIJCHU Early in the morning we again enter Machu Picchu to take part in ceremony for a deeper journey into the inner path to gain confidence in our soul's and our unique purpose. Once our group work is complete, the rest of the day will be yours to explore Machu Picchu on your own. At closing time we will say our fair well to Machu Picchu and descend back down the mountain to Aguas Calientes. Hikes to consider while at Machu Picchu are Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Peak, and the Temple of the moon. The hike to the Temple of the Moon can be easily traversed by most people. Machu Picchu Peak and Huayna Picchu, are both somewhat strenuous. The park now charges an additional fee of $10 to hike either Machu Picchu Peak or Huayna Picchu. These hikes must be reserved well in advance. If you are not sure which hike you might want to explore, feel free to contact us and we can provide you with more details. Day 5 (JULY 5) – MANDOR WATERFALL - CUSCO On our last day In Aguas Calientes, we will hike the beautiful trail along the train tracks and the Urubamba River to the Mandor waterfall. Along the way we will pass by an organic coffee plantation. There we can stop to rest and if they are open for service, possibly order a meal and something to drink. During certain times of the the year one can sometimes even purchase organic coffee right from the grower. After our break we will continue our walk into the jungle and to the Mandor Waterfall. This will be one of the best opportunities to see tropical birds, banana trees, coffee plants, ginger flowers, orchids, bromeliads, begonias, fuchsias and other plants of the cloud forests. We return to Cusco on an afternoon train, and overnight in the "navel of the world." Day 6 (JULY 6) – TIPON – Q’ENQO In the morning we will visit the spectacular water temple of Tipon. Tipon is an ancient agricultural site with many terraces and an intricate irrigation system. The entire complex is fed by an artisan spring that emanates at the base of the sacred mountain Pachatusan. The energy at Tipon is so soft and gentle that one never wishes to leave. After our visit to Tipon, we will stop in Cusco and then on to visit Amaru Machay, the cave of the Serpents. At this power place, considered by Mallku as 'the sacred place of Serpents, the group will join intentions in a guided ceremony. Then visit Q'enqo, the power place of the Puma. We will spend the night in Cusco. Day 7 (JULY 7) – PISAQ - SAQSAYWAMAN In the morning we will visit Pisaq in the Sacred Valley. The entire mountain of Pisaq behind the village is considered an archaeological treasure, and for good reason We are bussed several miles up to the top, from where we can hike downhill past ancient sites and burial grounds along an amazing trail with breathtaking views. In the afternoon we will visit Saqsaywaman, which is a huge, stunning site which holds the Great House of the Sun, where the head of the Puma of Cusco resides. Its megalithic, zigzag stone walls were pieced together with amazing skill, drawing the Snake and other Andean symbols, like a lightening bolt across a great field. After our ritual, we will return to Cusco. Day 8 (JULY 8) – HOUSE OF THE MOON In Cusco City - In the morning we discover the HOUSE OF THE MOON, an amazing place related to the feminine energies; return to the hotel. Following Lunch, those desiring an equestrian experience, will have the opportunity for ride in the surrounding countryside. Others will have the afternoon free to enjoy Cusco. In the evening Mallku has a special celebration planned for our group. Day 9 (JULY 9) – CUSCO – LAKE TITIKAKA Nice trip to Lake Titicaca, stopping along the way at the magnificent Temple of Wiraqocha. We will arrive at our hotel near Puno in the late afternoon. (LUNCH) Day 10 (JULY 10) – TITIKAKA ALTARS Today we discover the ancient AIMARA altars as we walk the sacred path on the Magical Serpent and explore the Ajayu Marka, a dimensional world with its doors. Continue to Charkas for a salutation to the spirit of Titicaca and at the end of the afternoon, visit the Temple of Fertility. Overnight Puno. (LUNCH) Day 11 (JULY 11) – PUNO -AMANTANI ISLAND This morning we cross the beautiful and highest navigable lake in the world to the island of Amantani. On our way to Island, we will visit and learn about the entirely unique culture of the Aymara people and their legendary floating islands. In the evening, the spiritual leader of the community will led us in a Offering for Pachamama and will have the blessing of the Fire as we complete our ceremony. This night we share with the locals and stay in their homes. This is one of the most memorable moments for the journey. (LUNCH + DINNER) Day 12 (JULY 12) – AMANTANI - PUNO Early in the morning we ascend to the temples of Pachatata and Pachamama where we present our offering to Pachamama and to life. After SOME lunch we boat back to the continent and will have our transportation to Puno and have a free afternoon. (LUNCH) Day 13 (JULY 13) – PUNO – SILLUSTANI - LIMA Morning visit to the Andean Taj Majal at SILLUSTANI, another sacred site for our closing ritual and circle, then transfer to the airport for our flight to Lima, arrival and connections. Day 14 (JULY 14) - LIMA - HOME Trans to the airport to your international flight home.
